“Act 39 was signed into law in May 2013, making Vermont the first state to enact such a law legislatively. This session will focus on: Vermont’s experience to date with the law; any relevant experience in Oregon, Washington and Montana; the law’s requirements for patients (including their families and friends), physicians, and hospitals; and the reporting obligations, opt-out provisions, time periods, and immunities. We will also touch on how the choice provided by the law fits with end of life planning.” (VBA flyer)
The other faculty members include Diana Barnard, MD, Glenn Jarret, Esq., Michael Sirotkin, Esq., and Jessica Oski, Esq. as moderator.
