Paul’s practice focuses on energy, environmental, and land-use law, green marketing, and civil litigation. He represents clients in matters before state and federal courts, the Vermont Public Utility Commission, and other state and local permitting authorities. Paul’s legal work is informed by his technical background in science and environmental consulting.
Paul graduated first in his class from Vermont Law School in 2021, where he was an environmental mission scholar and received the environmental law scholarship. During law school, he also served as an articles editor for the Vermont Law Review, a student clinician at the Environmental Advocacy Clinic, and a judicial extern for the Honorable William G. Young of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Prior to law school, Paul earned a master’s in geological sciences from the University of Southern California and worked as an environmental remediation consultant in Boston. He has published his work in both legal and geologic journals. He earned his bachelor’s degree in geography from Middlebury College.
Paul lives in Burlington and enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Vermont in his free time.
